Cheese Hobo Pack

Smoked sausage, shredded potatoes, real bacon bits, chopped onion, shredded cheese and butter, all in a foil pack cooked over the camp fire.

My family loves this and it's a must on every camping trip. You can use chopped potatoes but I find it cooks more evenly when we use shredded potatoes. I just get a few bags of frozen hash browns - they help keep the cooler cold and they are ready when you are.

I also chop onions at home and freeze them - more time to enjoy camping!
